- Google could build a robot army after receiving a patent for methods and systems of allocating tasks to a series of robots over the cloud.
- The patent reportedly provides that the robots could be controlled by a smartphone in order to complete tasks.
- Although this technology could be used to simply connect a series of robots to carry out integrated tasks (such as controlling an assembly line or self-driving cars from a central source or ), the scope is clearly far greater.
- This patent follows another patent awarded to Google several weeks ago which would enable robots to have personalities that could be customised according to the user’s preference.
