Text walking lanes installed in Belgium to look after phone addicts!

Text Walking Lanes have been installed in Belgium to reduce the number of dropped phones and collisions occurring because of people who text while walking.

  • Text Walking Lanes have been installed in Antwerp, Belgium to reduce the number of dropped phones and collisions occurring as a result of people who text while walking.
  • It’s reported that this move follows the implementation of ‘texting lanes’ in Washington DC and Chongqing, China.
  • According to Bored Panda, mobile phone specialist MLab found that texting while walking naturally leads to broken phones, collisions and arguments.
  • Although the Text Walking Lanes are reportedly a joke, it seems that the local phone addicts are taking to them!
