  • Sorry, Kim – Perth’s record-breaking heat managed to break the internet.
  • Yesterday was Perth’s 6 hottest day on record, with temperatures soaring to 44.4 degrees Celsius (approx 112 Farenheit), which forced the closure of iiNet’s Perth data Centre.
  • However, iiNet’s heated customers vented on social media, arguing iiNet should have contingencies for Australia’s extreme heat.
  • iiNet is Australia’s 2nd largest DSL internet provider.
