A New Jersey man confessed to police that he backed into a utility pole, but then fled the scene because he didn’t want to deal with his screaming girlfriend.
The caller who reported the hit and run states she heard people yelling and then a bang. It was at this point that David Scarpa fled, failing to report the incident.
David has been charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
