Woman asked for ID to buy fruit in Tesco!

A UK woman claims Tesco asked her to prove she was over 18 before she could buy a pot of soft fruit on the basis that it could ferment & become alcohol!
Following an email to Tesco, Kate Lancaster, from Devon, was told that “fruit will be age-verified in case natural fermentation takes place”!!
However, Tesco responded to media enquiries saying it was a joke.
