• This is SO EXCITING – the 1st episode of the X-Files reboot WOWED fans at its World Premiere at Cannes, France.

• The episode is the first of 6 ordered by Fox, which sees Mulder and Scully return in the present day amidst real-life conspiracies to reopen the X-Files after new evidence emerges of alien abductions and global conspiracy.

• Series creator Chris Carter said the return was surreal and a “dream come true” after the show went off the air in 2002.

• The biggest applause came when the opening credits rolled, as they’ve been kept exactly the same!
