  • Great news fellow arachnophobes, not only can spiders SEE you… they can also HEAR you!
  • According to Paul Shamble, an arachnologist at Cornell University, spiders don’t have any ears, but they still possess an acute sense of ‘hearing’ through tiny hairs of their legs.
  • It’s reported that spiders can pick up noises several metres away!
  • The results were obtained by taking direct electrical recordings from the brains of North American jumping spiders.
  • During the tests, the brains responded when chairs were moved around or people clapped their hands.
  • You’ve been warned…
  • Stay stealthy.
