- An officer was bitten by his own police dog after it was released during an attempted arrest, and latched onto the first thing it saw!
- It’s reported that several police officers were chasing a man who escaped while being handcuffed.
- Just as one of the constables tackled the man to the ground, the dog was released – but it went straight for the hapless officer’s leg.
- The officer was sent to Dunedin hospital for treatment and discharged on the same day, but has been getting a “bit of stick” from his workmates.
