Australian robot can build a house in just 2 days!

An Australian firm has developed a robot called the Hadrian X, that can lay 1,000 bricks an hour, and build a house in just 2 days!

  • Australian firm Fastbricks Robotics has developed a truck-mounted robot called Hadrian X that can lay 1,000 bricks an hour, and even leave spaces in the brickwork for wiring and plumbing!
  • Bricks are passed along a conveyor belt to the ‘hand’ of the robot’s 30-metre arm (called a telescopic boom), which uses a clear PV polyurethane fluid to secure the bricks in place.
  • According to CEO Mike Pivac, Hadrian X can build a house in just 2 days and cut about 10% of the cost.
  • The robot took 10 years to create, and is expected to hit the market in approximately 1 year.
