- Airline passengers in Australia will finally catch up with many countries around the world – and no longer be forced to turn off their phones and tablets in flights!
- So far, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority has approved applications from Qantas and Virgin.
- Devices will need to remain in flight mode throughout the flight. However, devices weighing over 1kg (ie laptops) will need to be switched off.
- More Australian airlines are reported to follow Qantas and Virgin.
