A man dressed as a stormtrooper was arrested as he walked down a street in Newborn, Georgia because Jasper County deputies thought his weapon might have been real.
Justin Marling was reportedly charged with wearing a mask and reckless conduct, but says he was simply raising awareness for a charitable cause: ‘Star Wars Force for Change’, which aims to inspire people to have a positive impact.
With exceptions (public holidays & special events), it’s illegal to wear a mask in public according to Georgia law.
