Victoria police in 7-hour standoff but nobody was home!

OOPS! Victorian police were left embarrassed after they engaged in a 7-hour standoff outside a house in Melbourne’s west… only to realise nobody was inside!
It’s reported that police visited the home at 930am after they received a report of a person of interest, and that they had tried to communicate with a man who was refusing to come out.
Police entered the home at 430pm, but found nobody inside, but did manage to locate goods believed to be stolen.
