Scientist and cellist David Teie has created a world-first album for cats called ‘Music for Cats’, which will be released through Universal Music on October 28!

According to David, cats appreciate music because of the sounds they hear as kittens, such as their mother’s purr, but that not all cats will take to the music – with some approaching the loudspeaker while others walking away.

David is a cellist with the US National Symphony. Prior to being offered a deal with Universal, David raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through crowdfunding and sold 10,000 copies of his album for cats independently.
