- The owners of a Wisconsin TV station are suing 2 comedians, who appeared on Hello Wisconsin as ‘fitness experts’ – but it turned out to be a prank.
- Hello Wisconsin booked ‘strongman duo’ Chop and Steele (real names Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher), but what they got was a strange segment during which Chop and Steele had tennis racket sword fights and stomped on straw baskets.
- According to Mercury News, Gray Television says the duo provided them with false names and materials, and ‘performed ridiculous bits’ to provide false information to viewers.
- Joe and Nick don’t deny this; claiming that this prank proves how easy it is to put forth fake news, and that a simple Google search by the station would prevented this.
