Turkish President says women are not equal to men

Turkish President Tecep Tayyip Erdogan has caused a ruckus by declaring that women are not equal to men.
He added that biological differences meant women cannot serve the same functions in life, such as ‘digging up the soil’ and therefore equality is against human nature.
Mr Erdogan also said that this can’t be explained to ‘feminists’ as they reject the concept of motherhood…
Mr Erdogan made the comments at an international meeting focused on justice and women.
