CATCH-UP NEWS: stories that didn’t make it to the feed last week (clockwise):
- Texas Rappers were arrested when police mistook the filming of their music video for an actual bank robbery. Admittedly, Tru Keezy and Yung Groovey were dressed as bank robbers outside of a Lake Jackson credit union at the time, which they thought was closed. Tru & Yung were released without charge.
- Pennsylvania police say a woman drove into a river to avoid arrest, ignored police communication and drank beer as the vehicle floated down the Susquehanna River. The woman was eventually retrieved by a fire department boat.
- According to research from the University of Leicester, it would take zombies just 100 days to take over the planet in the event of a zombie apocalypse! Results were based on zombies locating 1 person per day, with a 90% infection rate. After this time, there would be just 273 survivors!
- How fast does your bed go? Because a motorised mattress created by Hotels.com and race car driver Tom Onslow-Cole was driven at 83.8 miles per hour at the Emirates Motor Sports Complex in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The bed was created to celebrate the launch of Hotels.com’s new Middle East portal.
