- A 4-year-old British boy sent a letter to NASA in which he asked the agency to build a rocket based on his design and even offered to fly it into space!
- In the letter, the boy (now 5), also asked for NASA to issue him with an astronaut licence.
- In response, Kevin DeBruin, a systems engineer from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory praised the boy for his ‘great’ design and encouraged him to put forth his best efforts at school to prepare him for his ‘journey towards space’.
- According to his dad, the boy ‘went crazy’ when he received the letter from NASA, and is now set on a career as an astronaut or engineer.
- I love that NASA does this. Shoot for the stars!
