- Shortly after landing the position of ‘general manager of strategy and business development’ at Myer, Melbourne man Andrew Flanagan was sacked when Myer realised his CV was fake.
- Among other things, he claimed he worked for major retailers such as Zara. Subsequently, Zara confirmed they had never employed Andrew.
- Melbourne-based Quest Personnel admitted it has been taken in by “incorrect and misleading information” about Andrew’s employment history.
- Myer is continuing investigations into how this ‘catch me if you can’ styled fraudster managed to get through the checks and balances.
