- Winnipeg man Dan Bergman is attempting to break a Guinness World Record by playing a fighting video game for 55 hours.
- In his bid to smash the current world record of 48 hours, Dan is allowed a 10 minute break every hour while playing his chosen game, Super Smash Bros.
- Dan hopes to raise money for Geekdom House, a charity which plans to offer kids the chance to code and design video games; skills he says will come in handy for the rest of their lives.
- If successful, Dan will finish playing at 7:01pm August 19.
