Library book returned 120 years late!

During the period from 1886 to 1894, future professor Arthur Boycott borrowed the library book "The Microscope and its Revelations" and never retuned it!

  • During the period from 1886 to 1894, future professor Arthur Boycott borrowed the book “The Microscope and its Revelations” and never retuned it!
  • The library rebel’s granddaughter found the library book and decided to return it to the Hereford Cathedral School in the UK.
  • Funnily enough, Arthur had a successful career in the sciences, with a particular interest in snails
  • According to the school, the overdue fine was $12,530, which it waived.
