• Astronauts stationed on the International Space Station recorded a very special Christmas message for the world, leaving us with some fun footage on board and photos of our planet.
• Among the crew  is Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, recently famed for bringing a zero gravity espresso machine onto the station!
• Amazingly, photographers (here on Earth) managed to capture images of the space station as it passed over the United Kingdom. The station appeared as a streak of light in the sky.
• The space station, which is a large spacecraft, is the size of a rugby pitch and has been home to over 200 astronauts from over 8 countries over the past 14 years.
• For added WOW factor, the spacecraft circles the earth every 90 minutes!!
