- It’s reported that Chinese users are no longer able to access Gmail via third-party services.
- Although direct access to Gmail has been blocked in China for some time, many were able to get around the ‘Great Firewall’ by using 3rd-party apps like Microsoft Outlook.
- However data held by Google indicates this traffic took a nosedive on Friday and has not recovered.
- The Chinese Government has not confirmed or denied their involvement in the fresh restrictions.
