First Lego photo in space?

NASA has selected a Lego photo by Instagram user @BrikWerx to accompany the spacecraft OSIRIS-REx. Is this the first Lego photo sent into space?

  • Is this is the first Lego photo sent into space??
  • NASA a has selected a pic by @BrikWerx (on Instagram) to accompany the spacecraft OSIRIS-REx (the Origins-Spectral Interpretation-Resource Identification-Security-Regolith Explorer) during its rendezvous with the asteroid Bennu in September 2016.
  • During the mission, a robotic arm will pluck samples that could better explain our solar system’s formation and how life began!
  • The spacecraft will reach the asteroid in 2018 and return to Earth in 2023 with approx 60g of material from the asteroid.
