Cyclists are ‘quaxing’ around the world!

Quaxing is trending globally and has been defined as “to shop in the Western world by means of walking, cycling or public transport”.
The term was coined following comments made by Auckland local government councilor Dick Quax regarding the practicality or possibility of doing one’s shopping by train or bicycle.
Since then, #quaxing has been trending online with people sending Cr Quax photos of their quaxing in a bid to demonstrate the versatility of cycling and erode the misconception that it is purely a recreation or fitness pursuit.
