- The Sydney Morning Herald was widely ridiculed on social media for printing front page news using comic sans font.
- In response (via an email written in comic sans) the Herald’s editor-in-chief said the font was chosen to match the surreal nature of the story.
- Elsewhere, it was reported that printer ink costs more per litre than Chanel No. 5, and that comic sans is among the worst of the ink-chewing fonts (in terms of paper coverage etc).
- So, think again when choosing fonts!
