- A Belgian Minister who rode his bicycle to a conference to promote cycling found out it was stolen in the half an hour that he was away!
- Ben Weyts is the minister for mobility for Flanders, and he had discussed a plan to invest €300m in cycle lanes until 2019. The proposal was part of a plan to promote alternative modes of transport.
- According to a spokesperson for the Minister, the bike was locked in a rack at the station, but it was not there when they returned.
- It’s hoped that security footage will help police locate the thief.
