• Mr Abbott said he’d confront Mr Putin about Australians murdered by Russian-backed rebels using Russian-supplied weapons as a result of the MH17 disaster.
• Both men pride themselves on their masculinity, with Mr Abbott a lifesaver/firefighter and Mr Putin a sixth-degree black belt in Judo!
