- A trail of macaroni salad led police straight to 3 men who reportedly stole a cash register and surveillance system from a New York Build-A-Burger restaurant.
- According to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Mt Morris police were called to the restaurant when its owner discovered the theft.
- Evidence led police to a nearby trail where they found discarded parts from the stolen items, along with a steady trail of macaroni salad which they later discovered had also been stolen by the suspects and shared along their escape route.
- Matthew P Sapetko, James P Marullo and Timothy S Walker were later arrested and charged with, among other things, third-degree burglary.
