This Friday, The Short News is launching a “What’s News” segment on Instagram.
For those who don’t know, The Short News runs a highly interactive forum on Instagram (@theshortnews) where stories are regularly discussed by a community of approximately 10,000 people from across the world!
I started The Short News to make the news fun and get people involved. I believe the “What’s News” segment is the next step in that process.
Starting this Friday (17 April) at 8am, Melbourne time (times around the world below), I will post a photo with no further description.
The first person to guess the story will be able to claim bragging rights in the community!
Furthermore, the person who comes up with the BEST headline will have that headline published on the website at midday on the same day (and referenced accordingly).
This way, you get to be a part of the process! For this Friday’s launch (and at other times, when announced), I will be giving away 2 minifigures (the figure that represents me in this image – the ‘News Guy’) to: 1. the person who guesses the story first and 2. the person who comes up with the best headline!
The competition closes within 2 hours to allow time for publishing etc.
Note: the prize includes only the minifigure and newspaper, but not the additional accessories. Good luck, and I hope to see you on Friday for the launch!
