- Barmen at a Scottish pub have stopped wearing kilts after they became fed up with women trying to look underneath to see if they are “true Scotsmen”.
- It’s reported that the incidents mostly occurred on weekends at the Hootenanny Pub in Inverness when it was busy and the men’s hands were full of glasses.
- Kit Fraser, the owner of the pub, called it “pure sexism”, adding that a man would be arrested for putting his hand up a woman’s skirt at a restaurant.
- Although the kilt adds to the character and atmosphere of the pub, the barmen now wear pants.
