• Interesting! EVERY night at 10pm since the 1970s, the ‘Flogsta Scream’ has started a chorus of wailing throughout the Swedish town of Flogsta!
• A recent video (which was posted to Reddit) has shed light on the phenomenon, which has now spread to other towns in Sweden.
• It’s believed that the echoed screams were a form of stress relief at exam time, given that Flogsta houses many students from nearby Uppsala University. Some believe it was a tribute to a student who took their own life.
• According to locals, the screaming occurs daily for about 5 minutes, and that it is louder on weekends.
