- Following “The Impact Team” hack of Ashley Madison’s user database, Gizmodo analysed the data and found that out of 37 million accounts, there were maybe 12,000 women users (of which only 1,492 ever checked their messages!).
- The company may have made millions of female accounts look active, but it’s reported IP addresses showed signs of fakery.
- A Canadian employee once sued the company for a wrist injury after being asked to create 1,000 fake female profiles!
