- Sony have launched a new version of their iconic WALKMAN music player, which will be called the NW-ZX2 and will go on sale in Europe in the next few months!
- The music player was first unveiled by Sony at the Consumer Electrics Show in Las Vegas, boasting a reported 60 hours of battery life and 128GB storage.
- The storage size is due to the fact that the player will use the LDAC codec format rather than MP3s, which means that each song will take up approximately 150MB!!
- The original Sony Walkman was a portable cassette player released in 1979 which sold over 200 million units throughout its life cycle, before it was phased out due to technologic advancements.
