Son of pensioner with Alzheimer’s shares heartwarming car karaoke duet

Simon McDermott sings with his dad Ted, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease because it’s what “gets him back in the room”.
The moments with Ted (known as the Songaminute Man because of how many songs he knows) are recorded and shared to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which has provided invaluable advice over the years to help him deal with Ted’s condition.
Although they initially set out to raise £1.000, so far they have exceeded €76,700!
