- According to a new poll, 74% of Britons admit to being ‘micro-criminals’, having committed minor/micro crimes.
- The findings were obtained from a YouGov survey, with the most common micro crimes being: paying someone cash to reduce the cost (knowing they won’t pay tax) (45%), illegally downloading (28%) or streaming (25%) TV shows or movies, and saying food is takeaway rather than dine-in to get a cheaper deal.
- Men are more likely to be micro criminals (77% vs 71%), and so are younger people (83% of the 18-24 group vs 68% of the 65+ group).
