• A man changed his name to Adam West via deed poll because it was cheaper than having his actual name added to his Ryanair ticket to correct a booking error.
• It’s reported that it did not cost Adam anything to change his surname from Armstrong to West via deed poll, but that it cost $157 to get a new passport in the name of Adam West, as opposed to the cost of having Ryanair change his booking (approximately $337).
• The booking error was reportedly made by the stepfather of Adam’s girlfriend, after he used Adam’s name from his Facebook page – not knowing that it was chosen in honour of Batman.
• ‘The’ Adam West played Batman in the 1960s ABC series Batman.
