• A Bucks County PA prison guard has been charged with Official Oppression and Harassment after being arrested for, among other things, forcing prisoners to play patty cakes and hug each other.
• This incident in particular occurred after the guard locked 3 inmates in a cell and said they’d only be released if they played the popular child’s game.
• More disturbingly, it is alleged that he allowed inmates who’d been reprimanded to leave their cells if they exposed themselves to him. Yikes.
• Patty cake (or pat-a-cake) is a hand-clapping game between 2 people, which is based on one of the oldest and well-known English nursery rhymes.
