A Greek jeweller was conned after he unwittingly accepted 4.7 million pounds in Monopoly money in exchange for 4 rare rings and a necklace.
The jeweller met with the men (who claimed to be French) in Paris to make the trade, but only realised the ruse after they left and he checked the suitcase full of “cash”.
It is reported that the jeweller met in Paris to avoid paying tax on the sale.
