- A dog in Saskatchewan, Canada was rescued by the local fire department after he fell through thin ice at Swift Current.
- The heroic rescue, which was captured on video (linked below), shows a firefighter sliding along the thin ice on his stomach, with a rope tied around his waist, which was secured by crewmembers.
- It’s reported that the owners of the dog let him off the leash while out on a walk near the creek.
- The dog ran onto the ice and became trapped when the ice broke under his weight.
- While this may seem like a minor event, this is just one of the many brave, selfless acts carried out by firefighters (many who are volunteers), and police/rescue services around the world on a daily basis.
- A big THANK YOU to every single one of you!
