Firefighters rescue dog on thin ice

A dog in Saskatchewan, Canada was rescued by the local fire department after he fell through thin ice at Swift Current.
The heroic rescue, which was captured on video (linked below), shows a firefighter sliding along the thin ice on his stomach, with a rope tied around his waist, which was secured by crewmembers.
It’s reported that the owners of the dog let him off the leash while out on a walk near the creek.
The dog ran onto the ice and became trapped when the ice broke under his weight.
While this may seem like a minor event, this is just one of the many brave, selfless acts carried out by firefighters (many who are volunteers), and police/rescue services around the world on a daily basis.
