Firefighter fakes finger fiasco for fiancé

A man called the fire brigade to help him get a ring off his finger, so that he could propose to his firefighter girlfriend.
Although some have questioned whether this ‘hoax call’ is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds, Mark Edwards planned this with Jodi Vincent’s bosses so that it would have been called off in the event of a real emergency.
Jodi, who has worked for Highgate Fire Station for 11 years says that she became shy when she realised it wasn’t a real job, but said yes straight away.
