Maybe moose don’t get drunk?

For years, tales have been told of moose in Sweden becoming drunk on apples that have fallen to the ground and become fermented.
However, a professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences says moose could not possibly eat a realistic number of apples in order to get drunk, given that they typically weigh between 450 and 1200 pounds.
It is suggested the erratic behaviour of moose is more attributable to them protecting their fruit stash.
