- North Carolina soldier Zia Segule was accidentally shot by his wife when his attempt at surprising her with breakfast in bed went wrong.
- It’s reported that Zia activated the burglar alarm when he returned from the Fort Bragg military Base and snuck back into the house, after which he was shot as he was about to open the bedroom door.
- Although police say it’s unclear whether Zia announced himself, the good news is he is in stable condition and is expected to be released to try this again, but better.
