• A pillow fight held at the United States Military Academy left 30 injured after cadets stuffed helmets and other hard objects into the pillow cases!

• Although the cadets were given helmets for safety reasons, it appears that these were just used to stuff the pillows! 

• It’s reported some cadets suffered broken bones and one was even knocked unconscious! 

• The event is part of a tradition for 1st year students at the prestigious NY Academy to build camaraderie and blow off steam after a summer of rigorous drills and exercises, and is said to date back to at least 1897. 

• Although the matter is being investigated, it’s reported that no cadets were punished and there are no plans to cancel the tradition.
