15,000 Protest the Budget in Melbourne

More than 15,000 turned up to protest against the budget cuts proposed by the Australian Government.

  • More than 15,000 people took to the streets of Melbourne yesterday to protest the budget cuts proposed by the Australian Government.
  • The march commenced at Trades Hall and ended at parliament.
  • Construction workers and unionists were among those at the protest, calling the budget cuts unfair and demanding they be reviewed and changed.
  • Among others, the Hashtag #BustTheBudget was used at the protest.
