Australian journalist, Peter Greste, jailed for 7 years

Australian journalist Peter Greste has been sentenced in Egypt to 7 years’ jail for producing false news to defame Egypt.
Peter was working for al-Jazeera and had been reporting on the unrest in Egypt.
It is understood that the current military-backed Government believes al-Jazeera to be a voice for the Muslim Brotherhood, the organisation behind the deposed president Mohamed Mursi.
