Messi retires from international football

Lionel Messi says he is retiring from international football – but is he just having a sook? Will he be back?
Messi made the announcement following Argentina’s 4-2 penalty shootout loss to Chile in the Copa America final (he missed his penalty).
The 29-year-old superstar says he has tried in 4 finals but that it would be best for him and everyone if he left – and that “there will be no going back”.
As for the game, it was a rowdy affair, with the Chileans backing up their 2015 title, which was also won in a penalty shootout against Argentina.
