- A Dutch man fought with a hospital in order to retrieve his leg, which was surgically removed after he developed a serious infection earlier this year that caused bacteria to eat away at the bone in his knee.
- Leo Bonten then preserved the leg and turned it into a one-of-a-kind lamp, which he planned to sell to raise funds to pay for his medical bills, help others with a similar condition and perhaps even buy a bionic leg!
- However, eBay disagreed with Leo and cancelled the listing of the ‘leg lamp’ on the basis that it breached policy.
