German court says men can pee standing up

A court in Germany ruled that men can pee standing up, after a landlord sued a tenant for urine damage to his bathroom floor.
Although the Judge agreed that uric acid had caused damage to the marble floor, he said that men should not be held accountable for collateral damage, adding that urinating while standing up is still common practice.
There is much debate in Germany on this issue, with some toilets forbidding the standing position.
However, some still call those who sit to pee a “sitzpinkler”, implying they are less masculine.
