• Disney has announced plans for Star Wars theme parks at its Orlando and Anaheim locations.
• The announcement was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger at the biennial Disney D23 Expo on Saturday morning – which was met by a standing ovation from the 8,000 fans in attendance.
• According to Iger, Disney wants to create a “new world” to take Star Wars from the screen to real life!
• It’s reported that the 14-acre theme parks will transport guests to a new Stars Wars planet, and place them in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance in a Star Wars adventure.
• Each of the sites will be staffed by wild creatures from the movies.
• Although no timeline was provided, hopefully you won’t have to wait too long before you get to hang out at the Cantina!
